FAQs

What should I bring with me?

We’d recommend that you bring 2 towels with you - one in the sauna to sit on and one for after your refreshing dip.

Bring your water bottle to make sure you’re hydrated.

Please bring your swimwear.

And if you want to hang out after your sauna and enjoy the view feel free but bring something cosy in case you get cold!

What’s the changing room situation?

We have limited changing facilities and space, so ideally please come in your bathing suits ready to sauna. You can hide away a bit and change your clothes outdoors here as well.

We do have boxes for you to leave your things in. Please note we don’t accept any responsibility for your belongings while you’re in the sauna, so please leave all valuable items at home or in your car.

What time should I arrive for my booking?

We’d recommend arriving 10 minutes before your booking. This will give us enough time for a little introduction on how to use the sauna and a few minutes for you to get changed without rushing.

Is booking compulsory?

For now, yes. To make sure you have a guaranteed spot in the sauna when you arrive, we require all guests to book in advance. We’re always looking at ways to improve, so stay tuned for potential changes in the future!

You can book and pay online via our website, we accept Swish, Credit/Debit card and Apple Pay.

Some advice before your sauna.

We wanna be straight forward with our mission: To enjoy the simplicity of Scaninavien Sauna - which means we don’t have any access to showers and dressing rooms and stuff like that. This is an off the beat kind of great sauna experience just by the sea.

• Drink plenty of water before use

• Do NOT use the sauna if suffering from high blood pressure or any heart circulatory disorder or suffer from diabetes or epilepsy

• Avoid sauna if recently consumed alcohol

• Do not eat immediately before use

• Seek doctors permission to use if pregnant

• Do not use if under 5 years of age (children must be accompanied by an adult at all times)

• Do not enter if suffering with swollen joints

• Do not enter if suffering with a fever

• Seek doctors permission to use if taking medication

• All persons using the sea as a “cold plunge” do so at their own risk. Children under 16 are NOT ALLOWED to cool down with our bucket shower or in the sea due to their sensitive temperature regulation.
